Frozen Waffles In Air Fryer

Frozen Waffles In Air Fryer - Great Meal Recipes

More than just a convenient breakfast option, frozen waffles are a beloved classic. But let’s face it: they can be boring when prepared in the traditional toaster.
That's where the air fryer comes in, allowing you to achieve that delightful crispy texture without the need for deep frying. It's a game-changer, and I’m excited to share this journey with you!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon whipped cream
  • ¼ cup mixed fresh berries or fruit of choice
  • A pat of salted butter
  • 4 frozen Eggo-style waffles
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons rich maple syrup

Method

Step 1: Preheat the Air Fryer
  1. Start by preheating your air fryer. This is crucial for even cooking. Set it to 350°F (about 175°C). While it's heating up, you can gather your toppings or set the table. Remember, multitasking can save precious moments in the kitchen!
Step 2: Prepare the Waffles for Air Frying
  1. Take your frozen waffles and arrange them in a single layer inside the basket of the air fryer. Avoid overcrowding; if you have more waffles, do them in batches. Ensure they lay flat to achieve that crispy crunch.
Step 3: Air Fry the Waffles
  1. Cook the waffles for about 5-6 minutes, checking halfway through the cook time. This pause allows you to flip the waffles for even crispiness. Keep an eye on them—the last thing you want is burnt waffles!
Step 4: Add Flavor
  1. Once the waffles are crispy and golden brown, take them out carefully. Here comes the fun part: while they’re still warm, add a pat of salted butter and watch it melt into the nooks and crannies. Feel free to sprinkle on cinnamon for that warm, comforting flavor.
Step 5: Top and Serve
  1. Now, it's time to assemble your breakfast masterpiece! Top each waffle with a generous amount of whipped cream and a sprinkle of mixed fresh berries. Drizzle with maple syrup and, voila! You have a plate that not only looks stunning but tantalizes your taste buds.

Notes

Here are some of my favorite tips to enhance your waffle experience:
  • Don’t Rush the Preheating: Letting the air fryer preheat ensures even cooking.
  • Experiment With Toppings: Try nut butter, yogurt, or even sliced bananas for variety.
  • Swap Syrups: Use agave syrup, honey, or flavored syrups to change up the sweetness.
  • Try Savory: Add cheese and avocado for a savory twist.
Use Leftover Waffles: Pop frozen waffles back in the air fryer for a quick snack or dessert!
